Carrie Lynn Certa has not only had over 2 decades of producing experience in network TV, indie film and new media, but has worked in numerous departments acquiring hands-on/practical training, which has conclusively made her a better producer: Showrunner, Writer, Line Producer, Executive Producer, Editor, Camerawoman, Post Supervisor, Business Affairs, Field Producer… to name a few!

Carrie, a consummate student, is continually upping her game with any new education she can get her hands on or, as with her tenure within the PGA, created curated educational programs to help keep producers up to date in the latest technologies. She served on the Producers Guild of America (PGA) Board for 16 years, 2 of which as the PGA VP, AP Council Board. Prior to her exit, she was honored with the highest recognition her board provides, the “AP Council Commitment Award”, for her educational work which ultimately helped thousands of members with years of tailored courses.

Carrie has also taught numerous years, not only through the PGA but also with Stage 32, Roadmap Writers, and SAG-AFTRA Conservatory covering all things from script writing/formatting, the business of show-business, producing and Line Producing.

Carrie is constantly contacted for general meetings, coffee meetings, “pick your brain” type of meetings and so her consultation services were born! She is now offering 1 Hr Consultation to anyone who is seeking advice, thoughts on the industry or for a specific project.

Consultations are based on her availability and are set at $100/hr.

 Summary of Qualifications

  • 15+ years of Line Producing series, feature films and new media in both studio and independent productions, which includes script breakdowns, budgets and schedules.

  • Developed feature films, TV and New Media projects working directly with producers and writers.

  • Produced live action scripted, animation, unscripted, music videos and documentaries.

  • HSM/CCO for various projects including Hailey Bieber’s series.

  • Negotiated or worked closely with BA on contracts for cast, crew and union deals: WGA, SAG-AFTRA and IATSE.

  • Lead weekly calls with networks and the production company during prep through post going over cost reports and updating the team on the production schedule.

  • Launched and managed a digital/branded media division, making sure they stayed on brand for the company and client.

  • Fully understands post workflow from set to the edit.

  • International production experiences: Ethiopia, India, Philippines and France.

  • An original play written by Carrie was produced Off-Broadway and has taken the lead in script rewrites when producing.

  • Hired and managed crews and teams from 14 to 200+ employees/crew members

  • Developed and pitched various projects to networks and production companies

  • Worked with the leadership of the PGA to change policy for clearer communication

  • A keen ability to perform effectively under stress and motivate her team to meet their goals.
